In the second quarter of 2024, the food delivery service apps have shown varied performance metrics on the iOS platform in the United States. Here's a look at how some of the key players have fared according to Sensor Tower data.
Glovo: Food Delivery and more experienced a fluctuation in downloads, starting the quarter with approximately 16K and peaking at nearly 21K by the end of June. Weekly active users showed a positive trend, growing from around 247K to 272K over the same period.
Just Eat - Food Delivery also witnessed a rise in downloads from about 12K to over 16K, although its weekly active users slightly declined, starting at approximately 38K and ending the quarter at around 36K.
Deliveroo: Food & Shopping saw its downloads begin at roughly 12K and increase to nearly 15K by the quarter's close. Weekly active users remained relatively stable, hovering around the 200K mark throughout the quarter.
Too Good To Go: End Food Waste showed an initial surge in downloads, reaching over 16K mid-April before settling down to about 11K by late June. The app's weekly active users started at around 110K and saw a slight decrease to 96K.
Lastly, Uber Eats: Food Delivery had the least number of downloads among the group, starting at only 1.6K and peaking at over 2.3K, with a dip back to 1.6K towards the end of June. However, its weekly active users were consistently high, starting at approximately 216K and peaking at 230K before ending the quarter with around 226K active users.
